Marie Callender’s closing in Portland & Salem
PORTLAND – Marie Callender’s has announced plans to close its Portland and Salem restaurants, blaming the weak economy. The parent company is filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection. In all, the restaurant plans to close 65 of its locations and cut 2500 jobs nationwide. Restaurants in Eugene and Medford will remain open – at least for now.
