Portland, Maine, airport gets full-body scanners
The airport in Maine's largest city is the state's first to get full-body scanners. The Transportation Security Administration on Monday demonstrated the new passenger screening equipment at the Portland International Airport, where three of the machines will be in use by week's end.

Portland homebuilder announces Senate candidacy
A Portland homebuilder is announcing his candidacy in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. Ben Pollard says he will run in the June 12 primary against state Rep. Jon Hinck of Portland and former Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap of Old Town, who previously announced their candidacies.
